VISwijzer - Sustainable Fish Guide for Android
VISwijzer is a free Android app developed by Good Fish Foundation that helps you choose sustainable fish and seafood sold in the Netherlands. With this app, you can easily check whether a particular fish is caught or farmed sustainably or not. The sustainability of each fish is rated on a color-coded scale, which helps you make informed decisions at the supermarket or when eating out.
The app rates fish in four different colors: blue, green, yellow, and red. The blue color is the best choice, indicating that the fish is sustainably caught or farmed. Green means it's a good choice, yellow means it's a second choice, and red means you should avoid it altogether. The app also recommends MSC and ASC certifications for sustainable fishing and farming.
